Flowbee

It's was finally time to get the poor kids haircut! I don't know who's hair he has? A mixture of both of ours I think. For some strange reason he has always had more hair in the middle of his head than anywhere else on his head? Its real thick towards the back middle and just a little bit on the sides. I was actually kinda bummed to cut his hair because he was getting these cute curls in the back. But his hair definitely had to be fixed! Mike got out the Flowbee and started cutting away. Mikey did really good. He didn't even cry. I think it had to do with the animal crackers that were on the highchair... like mother like son! Before

After

What would life be without Carter Lee?

Its hard to believe Carter is a month old! I just got over the fact that I was pregnant again and he is already a month old?? Carter is such a bundle of joy! He is starting to be awake allot more. He is a really good baby. He sleeps allot still. Its nice because I only have to wake 1 time during the night now. He is going to be blessed the first week in January. I am stoked that both of our boys got their daddy's dimples! Silly outfit I know!
My favorite outfit (that I snagged for FREE!)

Thanksgiving

I thought these pics were a perfect way to describe how our day went!Eat a bunch

Then some pie ( clearly the elder on the back left is starting to digest the Turkey)
Then snooze

We are truly blessed to be together on Thanksgiving for the first time as a family of 4. How lucky we are to have 2 incredible cute boys that are healthy, jobs, a nice house and too many other things to name. We know that others aren't as fortunate so it was real nice to be able to think more about these things that we take for granted!

Mikey 1st Birthday

I have been emotional all week. I don't know if it is hormones from just having a baby or what? The thought of Mikey turning 1 just has me in tears! I couldn't even sing "Happy B-day" because I was sobbing like a baby! I spent 4 hours making his baseball cake and about another hour decorating for his little party. My parents came over and took Mikey out to dinner so I could decorate. I blew up 50 balloons and put them all over the floor around a blow-up car with balls in it that Mike and I got him. He came in from dinner and he saw the balloons all over the floor.. he didn't know what to think.. He got allot of clothes, from the grandparents.. a laughing Elmo chair with "Elmo Live" (which was a HUGE hit) I think the adults got more of a kick out of it then Mikey. From Aunt Kristi stack able rings that plays songs which he LOVED! He got cake ALL-OVER his face and in his ears. I think the thing that he liked the most were the balloons.. the best $2.00 I have ever spent! The year has gone by sooo fast! Mikey is such an incredible kid! He loves to laugh and smile, get into things, pull little kids hair, throw things down the vent, cuddle with Mommy and Daddy, brush his teeth, and roll around on the floor with a blankie. Mikey is CLOSE to being a full time walker. He doesn't walk all of the time but he can take steps here and there when he wants to. He took 10 steps to my Dad at his B-day party. He has a personality that won't quit! I can't wait to see how he will learn and grow in another year.

A cool surprise

On Friday night I got a call from Mikes sister Kristi. It was an odd call with a really long pause from Kristi at the start of the call. While I was on the phone with her I heard a knock at the door, I opened it and here is Kristi standing at the door with little Dusty too! I FLIPPED out! I screamed and jumped up and down and got all emotional. This was the BEST surprise EVER!! They waited at my house for Mike to get home. Of course he didn't have his cell phone on him and he decided to stop by Grandma Shirley's. Finally he got home and Kristi hid under a blanket on our couch while I held Dusty in the kitchen hidden from the living room. Kristi popped out of the blanked when Mike walked in the door. It was a nice surprise for him too! Today we decided to go to Manitow park in Spokane and take some pics of the kids. It was a nice visit. We took some pics in the leaves and by the water. Mikey and Dusty liked watching the ducks and Mikey liked chasing the ducks all over the park. Above are just a few pics, I will e-mail the rest of them in a couple days. It has been fun watching Dusty and Mikey play and laugh together. I am really going to miss Kristi when she goes home. We keep trying to talk her into visiting permanently but she's not having it. I am thankful to have her for the time that she is here, we are lucky to have her! I suppose its time for Mike and I to come visit in California. Being with Kristi really makes me miss the rest of my family and the niece and nephew I have never met.

Carter's first bath

The second pic from the top is Mikey when he had his first bath the third one down is Carter. I thought it would be fun to compare them. Carter got his first bath at two weeks old. I only gave him sponge baths up until that point. His umbilical cord fell off a little too early and was too gooey to submerge him in water. It is great having 2 kids. It will be nice to see their differences and commonalities as they grow up together. Yes, I am going crazy, but wouldn't change it for the world!

My Girls

A "BIG" Thank You!! Thanks for the yummy food, support, desserts, encouragement, clothes and so on. I'm pumping for a girls night out... soon! Maybe to the Midnight showing of "Twilight". To those of you who doesn't know who these girls are... They all married the Frank brothers! Its nice to see sister in laws that get along as well as I do with mine!

Halloween

I know... I know... Halloween is totally over! I am just now getting around to getting "A MOMENT" if you can call it that! I had come home with Carter two days before Halloween so I was DOG TIRED. We just relaxed at home and handed out candy to all of our trick or treaters. I didn't even put Mikey's costume on him. The pic of Mikey in the Giraffe costume was taken the day before Halloween. Mike took the pics of him in the leaves in our front yard. Grandpa Rusty did give Mikey all kinds of candy so at least he got something for Halloween.
