Kidproofing Christmas

I came home from I can't remember where at the moment and Mike had the X-mas lights all decorated and looking good! We got the snow globe from grandma Shirley, its sweet because there is a carousel inside of it but it moves the wrong way but the fact that it does this kinda fits our family.

We have to do this so Mikey doesn't tare apart the tree. We are always telling that kid

"NO Mikey NO"

This is what the tree looks like when company comes over but for the most part its to hidden by the ottoman and the playpen. GOTTA LOVE KIDS!

I just had to smile at the ottoman hiding the tree. :) We don't have ours hidden, but the ornaments are only on the top half! We have to move our big chair in front of the stairs though because Erek still doesn't understand that he had to go down them backwards, and not head first.

Our tree is set up on top of the toy box lifting it off the ground by about 2 feet :) That's usually worked for us, and I've just gotten used to the look of our Christmas tree off the ground now. I love Christmas time, all of the decorations, family, lights, music and of course the focus change to embrace Christ. Love you guys and missing you more during this Christmas season.

I thought about lifting the tree up but Mike wanted it this way. We are really missing you guys too Lani! Em- Mikey has taken a spill off of Rusty & Evie's steps a couple of times... Im thankful that we live in a single story home to avoid the bumps bruises and stitches.

i love how sparkly your tree looks! how sad that we haven't even THOUGHT about putting ours up yet. this post was a good reminder for me. now i just need to figure out how to keep the kids from tearing ours apart. we usually only decorate the top half, too.
