Our Prophet has passed..... I will always remember Gordon B Hinckley because he was the first Prophet from when I became a member of the church. Before him I had no idea what a prophet was. What an example he is for us to follow. I know he is with his sweetheart right now and I could picture him saying to her "Its about time!"
See ya in the CK!!

Yea, what a great prophet. He sure will be missed. That temple you have there in Spo-Compton was erected under his "small temple" campaign. Something to think about when you go there....
I didn't know that about our temple. Its cool because big or small you have the same feelings when you go inside....
fun story about President Hinckley:
President Hinckley no longer performs sealing ordinances, unless it is for his grandchildren. The Salt Lake City Temple is heavily used for sealings and in the summer months they have so many sealings they have to keep a very tight schedule to ensure they accommodate the members. President Hinckley went to the temple sealers office and when he entered he noticed a sign had been posted to remind the sealers that their time in the sealing rooms was limited. The sign said, "sealings are not to exceed 30 minutes". President Hinckley's quick wit surfaced as he said, "I thought sealings were to last for an eternity. Did someone change the rules without notifying me?"
i'll miss his guidance and his fun sense of humor.
here's a poem i came read today:
Prophetic Passing
I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.
I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.
I see him now meeting his forebears,
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.
Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.
I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.
So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."
I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.
I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward — there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way.
