I have started recording the Backyardigans. Mikey loves cartoons but I think this one is his favorite because of the bright colors. He also watches Nascar with dad like this. That is where he likes to stand to watch his cartoons or Nascar. It is nice to be able to turn this on, put him in the playpen and be able to go to the bathroom or take a shower or do the things that you like to do in private. Yah I know he is standing really close.. hopefully it is a myth about them going blind!

He looks so tiny compared to the HUGE tv screen! :) Erek likes cartoons too, but only if they sing to him. He has a few in the morning that he really likes (Dragon Tales, Word World and Super Why) and he really only pays attention to the intro's to each of the shows. That is where they do the most singing! :)

we love the backyardigans, too. some people we know (we won't mention any names) call them the blackyardigans. you know, tyrone, uniqua, etc. :) funny.
em, we also enjoy dragon tales, word world & super why. i love the opening songs to super why & dragon tales.

One of the downers of not having cable is that Summer isn't all that into tv :( Sometimes I'll turn on a dvd for her to watch and she won't sit still at all... bummer. I love little Mikey in front of that HUGE tv - it's like he just can't get enough of it :)
YA'LL OUTA SEE EM WATCHIN NASCAR WITH HIS DADDY DUDE...SERIOUSLY THOUGH...HE REALLY LIKES WATCHING RACE CARS...BUT JUST REMEMBER ONE THING...WE WERE COUNTRY WHEN COUNTRY WASN'T EVEN COOL!!!
